Let us get acquainted with Meade Design Group . As far as you know, Meade Design Group Inc. is the Vancouver Island owned and based multi-disciplinary design firm founded by Principal Designer, Ivan Meade.
Recently, I was lucky to have an interview with Ivan Meade who seemed to be a very nice and talented interior designer. In view of this fact, i would love to share with everyone.
– What public is Meade Design Group oriented at?
The majority of our interior design clients are from out-of-town and have their second homes on the island, so we have the opportunity to work with a good range of clients that understand, and like to live, surrounded by good design. For graphic design, the majority of our clients are people involved in the design industry (interior designers, architects, landscape designer, contractors, furniture designers and so on), so again, we have the opportunity to partner with clients that appreciate and value great design.
We are very fortunate to have such a good and diverse group of clients.

For the Iván Meade fabric line we are trying to capture a broader client-base. I believe we have a good balance of contemporary and traditional patterns. The line is definitely tailored to interior designers, decorators, stylists and design enthusiasts – both stylistically, and with it’s ability to either integrate seamlessly into other manufacturer’s product offerings or, limitless combinations within the line itself.
5- Is Meade Design Group ready to cooperate with new companies concerning furniture design?
Yes, we are. We would love to do design a furniture line available to a greater group of people, not just our clients. We have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to design custom furniture pieces for the majority of our projects,but it could be an interesting challenge to start designing for a wider market.

6-What are main projects of Meade Design Group nowadays?
We are currently working on a couple of private residences within our interior design department; A very cool, mid-century family home, and an exclusive condo with fantastic views. We are also working on a health clinic renovation. For graphics, we are currently branding a couple of interior designers, one in Edmonton and another in Calgary which is right in our wheelhouse. We are branding a new PR company in Vancouver as well, and locally, we are working on some environmental graphics and way finding for an office building.
– What is priority for Meade Design Group in general?
I believe my team (myself included) loves design, and we want to produce the best design we can for our clients, tailoring it to their particular needs. We also like to enjoy life, be part of our community giving back, and always to be open to what is next. Every day is different at Meade Design Group, and we love that.
All in all, Meade Design Group seems to be a very extraordinary team that provides clients with the best interior design, web design and graphic design solutions.
