As the winter arrives, with it comes Christmas Markets! Today, to get you in the Christmas spirit, we bring you one of the most amazing and beautiful Christmas Market: London Winter Wonderland, and yes, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town! Take a look!
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is back for 2018, and this news means that the Christmas thing is well and truly in swing. This year it promises to be even bigger and even better. The Christmas Market opens on November 22, just two days away, so get excited!
Winter Wonderland is the one-stop shop for Christmas cheer. It has a 150-vendor-strong market, festive food stalls, a fairground with a huge observation wheel boasting stunning views of the illuminated park and the city.
This market has as well, the UK’s largest outdoor ice rink, which is actually set to be even bigger this year, an ice bar, shows and family-friendly performances, and even Santa Claus himself.
This year edition will see some new additions to Hyde Park’s festive mania, including: a 45 metre ice slide inside the new Secret Forest-themed Magical Ice Kingdom; Backyard Cinema’s The Snowman Experience; Winter Wonderland Comedy Club; Peter Pan on Ice; and ice sculpting workshops.
Also new this year is the introduction of contactless payments throughout the park (for food, rides, etc), as well as an exclusive family entrance, where families can enter straight into Santa Land.
Many of Winter Wonderland’s signature features are set to return, including the ice rink and the cosy, après ski-inspired ‘village’ at Bar Hütte. The heated hüttes will, again, be kitted out with festive lights, rustic wooden décor, and the all-important karaoke machine with all the classics, including all the very best Christmas hits.
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland opens on November 22 until January 6 2019, from 10am to 10pm each day (except Christmas Day). Nearest stations: Bond Street, Green Park, Knightsbridge, Marble Arch, Hyde Park Corner, Paddington and Victoria.
