Hong Kong is one of the places to be for vibrant interior designers, but not every space in town is a décor dream. Some of them need a stunning makeover to get updated.

One of those spaces was this dated three-bedroom apartment, right in the middle of town, that was turned into the perfect example of how a stunning makeover can transform a simple and roughed house into a spectacular and sophisticated flat.

Let’s observe this timeless update that gave this apartment colorful panels, elegant details, custom furniture and bold feature walls that highlight the vibrant style of Hong Kong. The team responsible for this makeover was interior design firm hoo’s Yu-Chang Chen and Natalie Tsoi Kit-wing. They took a risk, with the owner’s acceptance, and decided to demolish the entire flat so they can give this house the best functionality possible, but always according to the owner’s needs. They started by transforming this poorly divided three bedroom house in a single bedroom flat, thus giving a bigger area that allowed them to create a magic master bedroom and spectacular dining and living areas.

With the disposition of the flat sorted out, the firm then proceeded to create the appropriated style for it. Their general idea was to give it a design style with clean lines, gentle organic curves and an uncluttered look. A simple but elegant look that mirrors the modern style of Hong Kong.

They also decided to add some French inspiration elements to the house. That inspiration is visible in all of the flat details, like for instance in the composition of the dressing room or in the elegant decoration of the living room area.

All in all, the final result was a success. The flat was completely renovated with brand new custom and modern furniture that perfectly fits the style chosen.
